HOW TO. . . have healthy hair naturally

I always wanted to have healthy hair since I was a kid and now I am always trying to take care of them the best way I can.. those are my five tips for how to have healthy hair naturally.
Let’s get started!

1. Oil

My very first hair care tip is using oils. I have been regularly oiling my hair for years now and I have to say that, since I started, my hair improved so much!

The most common way to oil hair is to use it as a mask before you shower. Take a good amount of oil and spread it all over your hair, make sure to insist more on the ends, because normally they are the most damaged part but make sure to also oil your scalp; it will stimulate blood circulation and make your roots stronger which helps promoting hair growth.

Another way to use oils is to daily oil your ends. This is what I have been doing lately: take the smallest amount of oil and spread it on your ends making sure to take five minutes to massage the oil through your hair so that they can absorb the product. This daily treatment will help your hair stay shiny, will give moisture and will hydrate the hair making them look healthier and shinier than ever!

So far, my absolute favorite oil for hair care is been coconut oil but there are many other oils you can use: argan oil, jojoba oil, avocado oil, castor oil, sweet almond oil, rosemary oil.

 

2. Wooden brush

Using a wooden brush is an essential part of my hair care routine and it  brings many different benefits, it has really made the difference for my hair and I can assure that after you try using it, you will never go back.

Few of the main benefit of using a wooden brush are:

  • It massage the scalp, which stimulates blood circulation promoting hair growth
  • Is anti-static
  • It absorbs and distributes natural oil from the scalp to the ends of your hair keeping them moisture
  • It’s hypoallergenic.

3. Give it a cut!

If your hair are damaged from years of heating and dying then you must want to consider to give them a good cut.

The myth saying “if you cut them, they will grow faster” is totally not true; your hair grow from your ruts so cutting them will not make them growing any faster, but will make your ends strong and not willing to break.

After giving a cut to the demaged ends, you can start taking proper care of them so that soon you will have long and beautiful hair! I personally cut my ends every 8 to 10 months so I make sure I get rid of all those terrible split ends.

4.Shampoo and conditioner

When it comes to shampoo and conditioner I try to use clean products that do not contain parabens or alchool.

Lately I have been using Ultra DAUX. This French brand is paraben free, done with very good ingredients and it offers many different types of shampoo and conditioner, so you can surely find the one that works best for you!

The one I have been loving lately is the Avocado and Karitè oil Shampoo. For conditioner I have been using the Green tea and Five plants. My hair are very soft and shiny!

 

5.DIY Masks

My last but not least advise is masks! I try to do a hair mask once a month or once any other month.  Hair masks are very important in order to maintain your hair shiny, healthy and strong. There are many natural ingredients that are good for different hair conditions: eggs, avocado, honey, lemon, apple cider vinegar.. just to mention a few of them.

Put your mask on and keep it a few hours or better overnight and wash is away with normal shampoo and conditioner the day after, you hair will surely thank you!

Another trick here: after washing away the conditioner rinse your hair with a mix of water and apple cider vinegar… your hair will be soft and very shiny.
